In einem dunklen alten Schloß lebt die Familie Addams. Sie sind keine normale Familie, sondern durch und durch dem Horror verschrieben. Mortitia Frump Addams ist das Familienoberhaupt. Mit ihrem Mann Gomez und den Kindern Pugsley und Wednesday, sowie den anderen Familienmitgliedern Onkel Fester, Cousin Itt und Grandma treiben Sie einen Spuk nach dem anderen in ihrem Schloß.

Die Serie war seit den 1930er Jahren als Comicstrip erfolgreich, nach dem Ende der Serie wurden noch mehrere Adaptionen als Zeichentrickserie und Realfilm gedreht.
